The Lloyd's Market Association (LMA), formed in 2001, is the representative voice of the Lloyd's underwriting community. Through the LMA the interests of Lloyd's Underwriters, Managing Agents and Members' Agents are represented wherever decisions need to be made that affect the market.
The LMA is committed to maintaining a profitable and appropriately regulated market and influencing the course of future market initiatives for the benefit of its members.
All 46 Lloyd's Managing Agents are members and nearly all are actively involved in the Association's work by providing people to serve on its Board, Committees or Panels.
Through the LMA the interests of syndicates and Managing Agents are promoted wherever decisions are made that affect their business. Within the Franchise structure of Lloyd's, the LMA provides the voice for the Franchisees (the Managing Agents), working closely with the Franchisor to secure the continued commercial success of its members.
Key partners of the LMA are the Corporation of Lloyd's and the London & International Insurance Broker' Association (LIIBA) - the trade body for London Market Brokers - both of whom share the LMA's commitment to enhancing the attractions and efficiency of the world's leading insurance market which is centred on Lloyd's in the City of London.
The LMA headquarters is on Gallery 3 of the Lloyd's building:
Suite 358, Gallery 3, Lloyd's, One Lime Street,
